‘Joke’ – West Brom fans are seething after Baggies star snubbed for Championship award
West Brom’s stellar performances on the pitch do not seem to be getting the credit they deserve.
Against all odds, the Baggies have had a monstrous start to the Championship season.
West Brom’s win over Blackburn Rovers set them on the right path, while a victory over Wrexham made it clear Albion were going in the right direction.
A subsequent draw to Portsmouth was a small stumbling block before West Brom claimed a win over Stoke City before the international break.
Sitting second in the table with a new manager at the helm is no easy feat, which is why Albion fans are disappointed that not all their hard workers are receiving recognition.

Isaac Price misses out on Championship Player of the Month nomination
Ryan Mason has notched a Championship Manager of the Month nomination for August after his stellar start.
However, Price has been omitted from the Player of the Month award despite scoring three goals in four Championship games.
- Price has a goal contribution in four out of five games for West Brom so far this season
- The midfielder is currently Albion’s leading goalscorer
West Brom fans have been left less than impressed by the revelation and took to X on Thursday, 11 September, to express their discontent.
One fan wrote: “No Issac Price is a joke!” Meanwhile, another added: “No Isaac Price…shocking.”
Another, who was left in pure disbelief, said: “How is Isaac Price not on there?”
Furthermore, others were quick to point out that no Middlesbrough and West Brom player was nominated despite sitting top of the table.
One said: “West Brom and Middlesbrough, both undefeated and top two in the league, but neither has a player worthy? Fine work as ever from the EFL.”
Meanwhile, another Albion fan commented: “You’ve put Sorba Thomas but not Isaac Price? Joke.” Another added: “Does Issac Price play golf?”
All eyes will be on Aune Selland Heggebo
Price has been the talk of the town amongst West Brom fans since the season began.
But his stellar performances have seen Heggebo’s lacklustre ones go under the radar. Despite netting the only goal during West Brom’s defeat to Derby County in the Carabao Cup, he has failed to score in the Championship.
Given that he arrived at Albion in the summer, there is leeway to be had. But it could get to the point where fans will begin questioning why their leading scorer is an attacking midfielder.
