West Brom fans will love new injury update on player Matheus Pereira dubbed a ‘baller’
West Brom dropped to seventh in the Championship after losing 2-1 to league leaders Middlesbrough.
Ryan Mason is expected to make changes to his West Brom side as they look to bounce back against newly relegated side Leicester City on Friday night.
Josh Maja is in contention to start for West Brom, which comes as some positive news in the attacking area after Baggies fans learnt of more injury woe for striker Daryl Dike.
Mason will be looking for a reaction against a fellow promotion-chasing side, as Albion fans will also be excited to hear about some more positive injury news.

Karlan Grant posts West Brom injury teaser on Instagram
Karlan Grant is nearing a West Brom return after teasing Baggies fans on social media.
In April, Grant was described as a “baller” by Matheus Pereira, who both played together in Albion’s last stint in the Premier League.
- Grant joined the Baggies in 2020 for a fee of around £15m
- He registered 24 goals and assists for Albion in the 21/22 season
- Grant has much-needed versatility in the attack
While his form has fluctuated since his big-money move from Huddersfield, Grant’s previous flashes of quality, including long-range efforts and late winners, suggest he still has plenty to offer.
With his fitness improving and recognition from Albion’s best player in recent years, the stage is set for the 27-year-old to remind Baggies fans why the club invested so heavily in him.

Karlan Grant could be the missing link for Ryan Mason and West Brom
Grant’s return is coming at a crucial time for Albion. Mason has had a decent start, but West Brom have lacked width out-wide, and someone who can stretch defences like Grant so often does.
He would straight away add experience and consistency to the Albion forward line, as Aune Heggebo has had a rough start and could provide a great balance with Mikey Johnston if the pair were to play on either flank.
If Grant was able to hit the ground running on his return, Albion would have a good chance of improving what is already a good points tally at this stage of the season.
Friday night’s game may see Alfie Gilchrist also make his full debut, as youngster Rio Parmar could be in with a chance of making the first-team squad for the first time.
