Isaac Price anonymous as 8/10 star superb – West Brom player ratings vs Leicester City

West Brom conceded a stoppage-time equaliser as they were held 1-1 at home by Leicester City.

The Baggies had seen their bright start to the new Championship season checked somewhat by back-to-back defeats in recent weeks, and they were unable to get themselves back on track against the Foxes.

West Brom have an awful recent record against Leicester, and that continued here, with Samuel Iling-Junior’s first-half strike cancelled out by an own goal from Nat Phillips at The Hawthorns.

Ryan Mason’s men were left with a bitter taste in their mouths after missing out on three points, and with that in mind, West Brom News rates the performances of every single Albion player.

Isaac Price anonymous in West Brom draw

Isaac Price has been electric for West Brom in the opening few weeks of the season, but his performance in the clash with Leicester left a lot to be desired.

The 21-year-old has been his side’s main creative outlet of late, but he had an uncharacteristically quiet evening on Friday.

The Northern Ireland international was largely anonymous throughout proceedings, as he struggled to get on the ball in the areas where he is usually extremely dangerous.

Price had just two touches of the ball inside the visitors’ box, and didn’t carry the same level of threat that we have become accustomed to seeing.

It was little more than an off-night for the impressive young talent, but his performance was worthy of little more than a 4/10 rating.

George Campbell back to his best vs Leicester City

George Campbell was excellent for West Brom in their win over Stoke City at the end of August, as he completely neutralised the threat of Sorba Thomas out wide.

This time, the American found himself up against Stephy Mavididi, and he produced another brilliant effort to limit the Leicester attacker to very little in terms of opportunities to get on the ball and create.

The 24-year-old is not the most natural fit on the right side of the backline, but turned in the sort of typically hearty display that we have come to expect from him in recent weeks.

Campbell completed 11 defensive actions, while also winning a hugely impressive 90% of his duels throughout the 90 minutes.

The defender played a vital role for Albion once again, and his performance was worthy of an 8/10 rating.
