West Brom fans in agreement as frustrated Ryan Mason comments surface after Leicester City blow

West Brom got a point back on the board on Friday night when they drew 1-1 with recently relegated Leicester City.

What would’ve seemed like a good result on paper before the game turned out to be a heartbreaking draw as Leicester equalised very late against West Brom.

West Brom scored through Samuel Iling-Junior’s solo effort which has been praised by pundits and fans alike.

Josh Maja returned for West Brom and showed signs of rustiness when he blazed over from a couple of yards that would’ve sealed a big win for the Baggies.

Ryan Mason‘s comments post-match have gone down well with the Albion faithful, as both the manager and the fanbase are in agreement about what played out.

West Brom fans happy with Ryan Mason’s comments despite dropped points

Mason seemed to have coached the perfect game plan for Albion as they had all the chances in the world to put the game to bed in the second half against Leicester.

Mason spoke to West Brom post-game, sharing his disappointment with the result.

“Obviously, emotions are still running high. It’s still disappointed having not won that game of football. It’s the second home game in a row where we have done more than enough to win the game.”

West Brom fans and former players were in unison as they reacted to that footage on social media.

Fans have seen improvement, and the game has instilled some belief ahead of the next two important fixtures before the October international break.

Ryan Mason has shown tactical improvement as West Brom boss

West Brom have started the season off in a positive way and still sit on a respectable 11 points in the Championship.

There was always going to be bumps in the road expected. Mason is one of the youngest managers in the EFL at 34, and will continue to improve and learn throughout the course of the season.

The former Tottenham youth coach has shown that he can adapt and shake off disappointing results, which is key in a formula for promotion to the Premier League.

West Brom’s next two fixtures

West Brom’s next two games are both difficult away fixtures. However, if there were ever a time for Mason to prove what his team can do, it would be getting at least four points in these next two games.

Karlan Grant could yet return for West Brom, adding more firepower to Mason’s frontline.
