Three Baggies players who have picked themselves against Norwich after Leicester performance
Ryan Mason has some tough decisions to make before his side travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City on Wednesday.
West Brom gained a point against Leicester City on Friday, but it was Nat Phillips’ own goal that cost the Baggies and there are improvements that are needed to entrench their play-off challenge.
Late substitute Josh Maja missed a golden opportunity in the dying seconds of the game, something that has become a constant issue for West Brom.
There is a quick turnaround for The Baggies, with a game on Wednesday fast approaching.
Although there have been some questions surrounding team selection, these three players have picked themselves to face Norwich.
George Campbell
Campbell looks back to his best after his performance against Leicester, matching up against Stephy Mavididi and limiting him to minimal opportunities throughout the game.
Campbell impressed for West Brom in a 1-0 win against Stoke earlier in the season and he looks a shoo-in to keep his place against the Canaries.
Stats | Campbell Total | Game Rank |
Defensive actions | 11 | 1st |
Duals won | 9/10 (90%) | 1st |
Interceptions | 2 | 1st |
Tackles | 3 | 1st |
Campbell received a match rating of 8/10 from West Brom News, representing a hearty display that fans have come accustomed to seeing from him.

Samuel Iling-Junior
This will come as no surprise. Samuel Iling-Junior started his first game for The Baggies on Friday and scored an outstanding solo goal.
It wasn’t just his goal that caught the eye, but his want for the ball and ability to find that pass into the final third, which he did four times against Leicester.
Iling-Junior has had a tough few seasons but, at just 21 years old, he looks like a player who could become a crucial part of Ryan Mason’s squad, and a player who can really change a game by himself.

Isaac Price
Price has excelled for West Brom in the Championship this season, picking up three goals and an assist in seven appearances.
However, he struggled to get into the game on Friday despite creating two chances for his team.
Despite his struggles, Price has been a standout player and must start.

Price’s form also saw him earn recognition with Northern Ireland and he scored in the 3-1 defeat to Germany earlier this month.
You always know what you’re going to get from Price – smart, attacking runs, chances created, and a relentless runner for his team.
