Injury expert delivers Tammer Bany verdict as West Brom eye post-international break return

Tammer Bany is finally nearing the end of his recovery process amid a lengthy injury lay-off at West Brom.

The 21-year-old joined the Baggies in the January transfer window, as he left Danish side Randers to complete the switch to B71.

Bany’s arrival at West Brom prompted plenty of excitement from supporters when it was announced back in February, but his time in the Black Country hasn’t really gone to plan so far.

The attacker has missed the start of the 2025-26 Championship season for Ryan Mason’s side through injury, but he could now finally be nearing a return to action.

International break to be crucial for Tammer Bany

West Brom have welcomed Bany back into training recently, after he was ruled out for the early part of the campaign with a hamstring injury sustained during pre-season.

The Albion faithful have seen very little from their new man since his arrival last winter, as he made just four Championship appearances as he settled into English football last term.

However, with the international break coming up after Saturday’s clash with Millwall, a return could be on the horizon for Bany in the near future.

Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar – speaking exclusively to West Brom News – believes that the Baggies have managed his recovery sensibly, and feels that the international break will be crucial to help him build fitness.

“Based on the timeline, this sounds most like a grade III tear, which is typically 6-10 weeks of recovery time,” Brar said.

“In that case, this timeframe would make sense, and he would be using the international break to return to training to get closer to match fitness.”

Tammer Bany return will be exciting boost for West Brom

West Brom have lacked firepower at times in recent weeks, so the return of an unknown quantity in Bany will certainly be exciting for the fans.

No one really knows what to expect from the youngster, but if he can provide a different attacking weapon to Mason’s arsenal, then he could become a very effective option.

We have seen the emergence of Samuel Iling-Junior for Albion in recent weeks, and if Bany could follow in a similar fashion, the boss would surely be over the moon.
