FIFA licensed agent ‘proud to see’ one West Brom player despite loss vs Millwall

Ryan Mason has to go back to the drawing board as West Brom lost 3-0 to Millwall in the Championship on Saturday.

Mason’s team were all over the place at the Den on 4 October, failing to create many chances despite controlling possession.

Isaac Price had a game to forget against Millwall, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the English manager rethink his ideas during the international break.

The Albion have fallen back down the table after another setback against the Lions, and the former Tottenham assistant manager must think about making use of his full squad.

West Brom hand Ollie Bostock debut vs Millwall

Ollie Bostock made his Championship debut for the Baggies against Millwall, coming on in the 89th minute for Mikey Johnston.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder picked up the Academy Player of the Year award after the 2023-24 season, having been handed his first professional contract at The Hawthorns in March 2024.

Bostock joined the Albion’s academy as a six-year-old and has made his way through the youth ranks in B71 to now feature for the first team.

Ned Ozkasim, a FIFA licensed agent, shared his delight with the Wales Under-19 international’s debut on X on 5 October, writing: “Proud to see Bostock make his Championship debut for West Brom yesterday.

“I truly believe that there is a lot of young talent across the Championship and Premier League that can bring something to a match day, if they’re given an opportunity. Hopefully, Baggies fans will see a lot more of Ollie this season.”

The Black Country outfit have struggled in an attacking sense this season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see more of the 18-year-old over the course of the campaign.

Mason has relied on Aune Heggebo a lot at The Hawthorns, but the Norway international has failed to convince many that he’s a reliable goalscorer.

Ryan Mason must find attacking consistency at The Hawthorns

Nat Phillips and Chris Mepham have formed a decent partnership for Mason, and the Baggies’ defensive setup has looked impressive for the most part this season.

While the backline seems to pick itself every game, the same can’t be said about the attack, with the English manager still looking for the best formula.

Tom Fellows’ departure in the summer has led to a dilemma for the former Tottenham coach as the Albion are arguably still finding their feet.

Josh Maja has shown he’s reliable at West Brom, and Mason should make him the first-choice number nine after the international break.
