Tammer Bany taken off early on West Brom return as reason shared
Tammer Bany has struggled to make much of an impact for West Brom since arriving earlier this year.
Bany joined West Brom from Randers in February amid much fanfare, but he has been restricted to just four substitute appearances for the Baggies.
That is due to injury issues, with a hamstring problem sustained in pre-season setting Bany back even further.
The international break has provided the young forward with a chance to build up his fitness, though, with Bany starting for West Brom Under-21s in Wednesday’s clash with Exeter City.
Bany played just 45 minutes of the contest at Alexander Stadium, with the reason behind that now being shared.

Tammer Bany closes in on first-team return for West Brom
Given West Brom paid a fee of around £3.35million for Bany, it goes without saying Ryan Mason will want the Dane up and running as soon as possible.
And Mason may soon get his wish, with Bany now getting 45 minutes under his belt in the stalemate with Exeter.
Bany did not come back out for the second half of the contest, but West Brom confirmed in the match report via their official website on Wednesday that the half-time change was pre-planned.
It was always going to be the case that Bany played the first 45 minutes, as to not overdo it on his comeback trail.
Bany had only one notable moment during his time on the field, which saw the youngster fail to trouble the opposition goalkeeper after showing good movement to break clear down the right-hand side.
How did West Brom U21s get on vs Exeter City?
The contest finished 0-0 in a game in which Albion looked better after Bany had left the field at the interval.
Miller McDonald went closest for the Baggies in the first half with a curling effort that was off target.
- West Brom signed Bany from Danish side Randers in February for a fee of £3.35m
- Bany managed just four substitute appearance last season, totalling 50 minutes on the field
- He has yet to play this season due to an injury sustained during pre-season
Rio Parmar, who a lot is expected of at West Brom, was introduced at the midway point but also had relatively little impact on the game.
Parmar had a shot saved as the sides were made to settle for a point apiece, but the bigger picture was Bany coming through 45 minutes unscathed.
