Tammer Bamy one of six who could miss West Brom vs Preston after team news latest
West Brom are looking to get back to winning ways against Preston on Saturday afternoon.
West Brom fell to a dismal defeat to Millwall last time out, and Ryan Mason will be keen to get back on track after the international break.
The Hawthorns clash on 18 October is a perfect chance for the Baggies to reassert their promotion credentials after a run of just one win in their last five Championship matches.
West Brom’s promotion chances have taken a hit after those results, and they need to start winning again, if they are to be in the race at the end of the season.

West Brom could have four players out against Preston
West Brom’s attacking woes could continue against Preston, after Mason shared the latest team news ahead of the clash.
Tammer Bamy is one of five players who could sit out of the contest, with updates shared on four Baggies’ stars in his pre-match press conference.
Speaking on 17 October, he confirmed that Bamy will not feature, saying: “He’s going to need more minutes because he’s had no football in quite a long time. He won’t be available this weekend.”
Daryl Dike, Caleb Taylor and Karlan Grant are back in training, but no decision has been made on their involvement, with Mason saying: “Dike is back in training with the group and we’re seeing how he is day-to-day.
“Taylor is back training after picking up the injury at Norwich. He missed Millwall and has had a bit of time out. He’s had a couple of sessions with the group, so he’s back.
“Grant is getting closer and is training with the group. He’s similar to Dike, had a long time out but is training with the group. The decision with their involvement is yet to be made, we just need to understand what is best for them.”
Lilywhites boss Paul Heckingbottom confirmed that Brad Potts and Will Keane will miss the clash in his pre-match media duties.

West Brom season could unravel with Preston defeat
Mason will hope that his side can do the job, without the players that they may potentially miss against the Lancashire outfit.
They need to get a win under their belts at home, after a miserable recent run, which has seen them fall to seventh place in the table.
- Albion’s win over Norwich on 1 October was their only win in their last five games
- Losses to Derby, Middlesbrough, and Millwall have derailed their positive start to the campaign
- The only draw in that five-match run was against Leicester on 26 September
If they lose against the Lilywhites, who sit fourth in the division, it could define the rest of their season, as they would fall behind in the race for the playoffs.
If they want a chance of automatic promotion to the Premier League, then they need to secure victory on home soil.
