Watford vs West Brom result predicted by Supercomputer in Championship

Ryan Mason will want to continue his winning ways when West Brom take on Watford in the Championship.

Mikey Johnstone’s early contender for Championship goal of the season, and an absolute screamer from Isaac Price, saw West Brom collect all three points against Preston on Saturday.

If this is Mason’s response to West Brom’s 3-0 defeat to Millwall, then Albion fans have much to look forward to this season.

And after the much-needed victory, the Baggies coach will be looking to build momentum on Wednesday at Vicarage Road.

West Brom not favourites against Watford

According to Opta’s Supercomputer, West Brom are not the favourites to win the confrontation.

Indeed, the home side have a 38.1 per cent chance of victory while the Baggies have a 35.4 per cent chance at claiming all three points.

There is a 26.5 per cent chance that the game ends level, in what seems like another blow for West Brom’s Premier League promotion hopes.

West Brom’s win over Preston will give them confidence heading into the clash against Watford

History favours West Brom, but their recent past is not as convincing

The Baggies and the Hornets have had some unforgettable past confrontations and there is no doubt this one will be a fiery affair.

However, the Albion will need to dig deep if they stand any chance of claiming victory away from home.

Where these two Championship sides are concerned, history gives West Brom a slight edge heading into the game.

However, Albion have won just one of their last five games against the Hornets, with the opposition side winning two. This will do little to convince Baggies fans that a win on Wednesday is feasible.

But there is still hope for the Baggies. Mason seems to have realised that Alex Mowatt is his best bet at earning Premier League promotion while Price is on track to get back to his best.

Thus, with so much talent at his disposal and an Albion side with more than enough character, West Brom fans could celebrate another win over the coming days.
