Isaac Price magical again as 3/10 woeful – West Brom player ratings vs Watford

West Brom were defeated 2-1 by Watford on Wednesday evening.

West Brom were looking to end an 18-year winless run at Vicarage Road on 22 October, and they made a great start as Isaac Price gave them a 34th-minute lead.

However, goals from Imran Louza and Rocco Vata would leave The Hawthorns outfit on the losing side on a disappointing evening.

There were few good performers for Ryan Mason‘s men as their promotion chase stumbled away from home.

Isaac Price on magical form once again for West Brom

Isaac Price has been in sensational form for West Brom recently, even translating that to the international stage with Northern Ireland.

He notched his fifth goal of the campaign with a stunning strike from the edge of the penalty box that found the top corner.

Price is by far and away the best player in Mason’s team, and he showed that once again in the defeat to the Hornets.

There will be serious interest in the winter transfer window, and the Baggies may have a struggle on their hands to keep the former Everton academy graduate.

He could help Albion to promotion almost singlehandedly if he continues in this vein, but that is only if they can keep him around in the Black Country.

Nat Phillips has a nightmare in West Brom loss

Nat Phillips is usually such a reliable asset at the back for Albion, since signing from Liverpool this summer.

However, he had a dismal game against the Hornets, and it was his failure to clear the ball properly that led to the winning goal for the hosts.

The ex-Reds star dallied on the ball, and then his attempted clearance went straight to Vata, who made no mistake and drilled past Josh Griffiths.

Albion need that performance to be a one-off from the 28-year-old, if they are to have any chance of securing promotion at the end of the campaign.
