Daryl Dike must exorcise demons at Ipswich Town after what happened with West Brom
Daryl Dike will be hopeful of continuing his West Brom comeback against Ipswich Town.
The 25-year-old had been out since May, when Dike started for West Brom against Luton Town on the final day of last season.
The striker came back into the side at Watford as West Brom fell to a frustrating 2-1 mid-week defeat.
A return to Portman Road could prove to be exactly what the USA international needs after Dike suffered a massive injury against Ipswich in February 2024.
Dike will have to put any previous feelings aside if he is to make an impact for Ryan Mason’s side in a Saturday afternoon Championship clash.

Daryl Dike was stretchered off in last Ipswich meeting
Dike was forced off against Ipswich Town in what was yet another huge blow for the 25-year-old in his spell at The Hawthorns.
The American was stretchered off in Suffolk as it became instantly clear how terrible his injury was going to be.
The forward tore his left Achilles tendon against the Tractor Boys, just five matches after his previous injury setback.
Dike ruptured his right Achilles tendon against Stoke City in April 2023, only adding to the shock surrounding what happened at Ipswich.
He was out for 369 days after this blow at Portman Road and has continued to suffer with frustrating thigh issues since his return.
A return to IP1 could prove to be the perfect opportunity to expel any fear surrounding further fitness problems with the Baggies.
Dike could get chance to impress for West Brom vs Ipswich
The 25-year-old is in desperate need of consistent game time after what has been a dreadful time in the Black Country.
Dike was electric in his time with Barnsley, but he hasn’t had a chance to showcase his talents across three years with the Baggies.
The striker returned to the fold against Watford last time out and was afforded 10 minutes of action by Mason.
He did get one shot off and won one duel, but unfortunately, he was unable to impact the game in the final stages.
With more minutes under his belt, Dike could have a bigger say on proceedings at Portman Road as he looks to ignore previous events in Suffolk.
