New West Brom mini club shop spotted away from The Hawthorns ahead of Christmas shopping rush

West Brom are on the verge of opening up a new club shop in the heart of West Bromwich.

Images on social media have shown that ‘The Albion Alcove‘ looks set to open ahead of the Christmas shopping rush.

Currently, West Brom‘s only official club shop is in the East Stand at The Hawthorns, with the Merry Hill store closing down permanently in 2021.

West Brom fans have been angered by the pricing of official merchandise in recent years, while former managing director Mark Miles had to apologise over the way the club tried to flog products to fans under the previous ownership.

While prices remain high, the Baggies have taken a new approach in order to boost sales ahead of Christmas, by opening up a new mini club shop in the town centre.

Where is West Brom’s new club shop?

West Brom’s new mini club shop, The Albion Alcove, looks set to open at the new West Bromwich Indoor Market, which opened up to shoppers in August.

Images on social media suggest that the new shop is set to open very soon, with the merchandise on sale ranging from the 2025-26 Macron kits, training gear, socks and woolly hats – perfect for stocking fillers this Christmas.

How to get to The Albion Alcove at the new West Bromwich Indoor Market

The new £4.6million market opened in the summer, replacing the old Kings Square Market on West Bromwich High Street.

It’s a short walk from the West Bromwich bus station and the town’s tram stop, which connects to Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

How West Brom fans have reacted to the new shop

David Griffiths, who owns Dave’s Pets in the West Bromwich Indoor Market, was one of the first to share an image of the new club store, saying that the shop is “opening soon”.

After seeing his post on X, a bunch of other West Brom fans reacted to the news, seemingly excited to see that the club now has turf in the town centre once again.

West Bromwich’s Labour MP Sarah Coombes has also responded on her X account, saying: “Very exciting developments coming soon!

“Get all the good stuff at West Bromwich indoor market.”
