Coventry fans react to ‘ideal situation’ for them as West Brom spearhead EFL outrage
Coventry City fans have sarcastically responded to West Brom’s fury at away ticket prices for the clash on 22 November.
West Brom are set to face Coventry at The Coventry Building Society Arena later in November, but Baggies fans may not be in the away end if things don’t change.
After Coventry revealed details for the game, there have been suggestions that West Brom fans could boycott the game, with adult prices as steep as £45 per ticket.
West Brom fans have called the prices “disgraceful”, while most fans across the EFL have shared the same concerns, including Swansea supporters, with their away crowd facing the same costs on Boxing Day.

Coventry fans try to justify prices for West Brom fans
It’s not just been Albion fans who have been upset over the prices, as Dawn Astle MBE has also voiced her disbelief at the situation.
Coventry sit perfectly at the top of the Championship table, as fans are on cloud nine, with the Sky Blues still undefeated after 12 games.
Coventry’s ticket prices for West Brom:
- Senior prices are £40
- 18-21 prices are also £40
- Under-18s prices are £35
With Frank Lampard in charge, West Brom will face a difficult opposition when they travel down to the CBS, as Coventry fans have reacted to the prices on social media.
One Coventry fan said: “20 is plenty? Is it still 84p a litre for petrol? Is a pint of lager still £1.90? Is a freddo still 10p?”
Another Coventry fan sarcastically claimed the prices are a “bargain”.
They said: “£45 is a bargain, to watch the only unbeaten team in the country.”

West Brom can put Coventry in their place
There is still a long way to go in the Championship, and as Albion fans know, a lot can change very quickly.
As of right now, Coventry fans have everything to cheer about, and rightly so, as the Sky Blues are by far and away the best team in the league at the moment.
However, as games pass by, fixtures will become even tougher for Coventry, as teams will begin to find their weaknesses.
There are still three games to be played before Albion’s game against Coventry, as Ryan Mason has a big chance to build momentum for the Black Country Club heading into what will surely be a fiery affair.
It doesn’t seem like Coventry will change their stance on the prices, which means West Brom will be fired up to cause an upset when the game comes around.
