West Brom and Ryan Mason simply need to get back to winning ways in the Championship.

West Brom were beaten 1-0 by Ipswich Town at Portman Road last Saturday, but the Baggies face a new test in Sheffield Wednesday.

So far at the Albion, Mason’s decisions have come under fire, with tactics and team selections all being criticised.

The Black Country Club have a bottom-of-the-league Sheffield Wednesday in front of them at The Hawthorns on Saturday evening, as West Brom News provides you with the preview you need ahead of the game.

West Brom‘s loss to Ipswich made it two losses on the bounce for Albion, as inconsistency remains Mason’s biggest problem to figure out.

The Baggies have just three of their home games in the Championship so far this season, and simply need to make it a fourth on Saturday.

The Owls, on the other hand, are currently in administration, after owner Dejphon Chansiri finally lost control of the club.

With Wednesday going into administration, they were hit with an immediate 12-point deduction, which has left them on minus six points.

Despite the major announcement, the Owls will go down fighting if they have to, as the Baggies need to be on top of their game regardless of the situation.

Team news and predicted lineups

Josh Maja is getting back to full fitness for West Brom, as he is expected to start in place of Aune Heggebo.

Karlan Grant is also back for West Brom, as the forward will be a huge bonus for Mason and his team selection.

Jayson Molumby will miss the game through injury, and Ousmane Diakite is to replace him.

For the visitors, goalkeeper Pierce Charles is back in training and may be forced back into the fold after Joe Lumley’s seven-day emergency loan ended.

Barry Bannan is still the danger man for Wednesday and could easily dictate the tempo of the game if Albion’s midfield are not on it.

With the game being played at The Hawthorns, the home crowd will have a massive advantage in the game, as Maja is poised to get back to scoring for Albion.
