Supercomputer predicts result of Charlton vs West Brom
West Brom will travel to Charlton for their next Championship fixture on Tuesday.
The match comes at a bad time for Ryan Mason following West Brom’s 0-0 draw to Sheffield Wednesday, with supporters unhappy with the style of play at The Hawthorns.
Mason is under heavy pressure to get West Brom back into the Premier League for the first time since 2020-21, and based on current evidence, this seems incredibly unlikely.
Up next for the Baggies is newly-promoted Charlton on 4 November, who are flying under Nathan Jones, and sit eighth in the Championship table.

Charlton predicted to beat West Brom on Tuesday
West Brom dropped into the bottom half of the Championship table following Saturday’s dismal performance.
And according to Opta‘s supercomputer, West Brom are expected to endure more misery on the road.
- Charlton have been given a 71.8 per cent chance of claiming all three points
- West Brom have a 12 per cent chance of securing their second away win of the season
- A draw has been given a 16.2 per cent probability of occurring
The Baggies haven’t won away from home since 31 August, and it’s been hugely detrimental to their momentum in the league.
Samuel Iling-Junior was hugely ineffective, whilst West Brom‘s over-reliance on Mikey Johnston and Isaac Price could not have been shown any clearer against the struggling Owls.
Mason had to secure all three points against 24th-placed Sheffield Wednesday, and their upcoming match at The Valley will be an even trickier test.

Whilst Charlton go into the game clearly in better form, West Brom have held the bragging rights over their opponents for the last 20 years.

West Brom unbeaten against Charlton since 2005
West Brom were among the favourites for a play-off place at the start of the season, and if they want to achieve that, it’s games like these that they have to win.
The Baggies are unbeaten against Charlton since 2005, securing three draws and five wins in their eight meetings since that 2-1 loss 20 years ago.
2002 was the last time they lost at The Valley, and it’s imperative that Mason changes the way his side plays in possession.
West Brom lack urgency at the moment, and a loss on Tuesday would deal a monumental blow to their play-off hopes.
