West Brom open new official shop without a single announcement

West Brom have opened up a new club shop away from The Hawthorns.

West Brom’s new club shop had been spotted by fans in October, as images came as a surprise with no teasers announced from the Albion online.

Images coming from Baggies fans on social media have confirmed that a new club shop called ‘The Albion Alcove‘ has now opened in time for the festive season shopping.

The store has now started operations inside the new West Bromwich Indoor Market, which opened to shoppers in the summer.

West Brom have not announced the store on social media

David Griffiths, who owns Dave’s Pets in the Indoor Market, shared the first images of the new store being built, and on Monday, he uploaded pictures to X, which confirmed that The Albion Alcove is open.

It comes as a surprise to many because West Brom‘s official club accounts have decided not to share any news on the store, as of Tuesday morning, with all posts being directed at the game against Charlton at the Valley.

Before this, the only West Brom club shop open was located in the East Stand of The Hawthorns, as in 2021, the Merry Hill store ceased operations.

West Brom fans have voiced their frustrations on merchandise prices in recent times, as The Albion Alcove has most likely been opened to raise funds in time for Christmas.

What to expect at The Albion Alcove

The new Indoor Market replaced the old Kings Square Market on West Bromwich High Street, which is a short walk from the West Bromwich bus station and the town’s tram stop

By the looks of it, the Albion Alcove will have scarves, keychains, hats, shirts, and lots more on sale for Baggies fans to get their hands on.

West Brom currently have a Christmas range:

West Brom fans have been previously let down at Christmas time by the Baggies, but the Alcove may come as a nice surprise to many.

The Black Country Club’s next home game is against Oxford United on 8 November, as the new store is located just an eight-minute drive away from The Hawthorns, or a 34-minute walk, so Albion fans should pop down to see what’s on offer.
