Baggies fans baffled at announcement being relayed by West Brom – ‘Seriously?!’

West Brom fans have been left baffled after Tammer Bany was called up for international duty by Jordan for the upcoming November fixtures.

The forward has not played for the Baggies since April and has been out with a hamstring injury since July.

While Banner has recently recovered from his injury at West Brom, he is yet to make a first-team appearance on the pitch.

Instead, the 22-year-old has remained on the bench, being an unused substitute against Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton.

Therefore, many fans were rightly confused as to why the Baggies have allowed Bany to travel next week, with West Brom announcing the news on their X page on 7 November.

A similar situation has already happened this month, with Jayson Molumby leaving West Brom to join the Republic of Ireland squad next week.

This is despite the midfielder being out of action for the past few games.

However, considering how long he has been out for, and the fact that he hasn’t even played a match this season for the Baggies’ first team, many fans were shocked that Bany was called up for Jordan.

Multiple fans are also concerned that Bany could pick up another injury while on international duty, which could further delay his return for West Brom.

When could Bany be in action for Jordan?

Bany has two opportunities to earn his first cap for Jordan this month.

The first game will be in their away tie to Tunisia on Friday, 14 November, kick-off is at 11am.

Following this, Jordan host Mali on Tuesday, 18 November, with kick-off being at 11am again.

Both matches are friendlies with Jordan preparing themselves for their first-ever World Cup in the summer after successfully qualifying.

Now, the task for Bany will be to ensure he impresses to improve his chances of being on the plane to the USA, Canada and Mexico.
