Tammer Bany announcement to raise eyebrows after lack of West Brom impact

Tammer Bany has earned a surprising international call-up after failing to make an impact for West Brom.

Bany signed for West Brom for £3.3million from Danish side Randers, yet he has been unable to find any sort of momentum so far.

Bany has suffered injury issues since his arrival, and supporters have started to question whether he will ever be a success at The Hawthorns.

However, after being named as an unused substitute in West Brom’s draw to Sheffield Wednesday and the loss to Charlton, the 22-year-old now appears to be ready to get back on the field.

Tammer Bany receives first Jordan call-up

Jordan named Bany in their latest squad on Friday for upcoming fixtures.

He has been involved in two U21 matches for Albion in a bid to get his match sharpness up, yet it’s surprising to see him get his first international call-up at this moment.

Bany’s only assist for West Brom came in the 2-0 win over Oxford United on 22 February, where he teed up John Swift for his 101st-minute goal.

The Baggies have a promising star on their hands, and he faces a lot of competition to get himself into the starting lineup ahead of Isaac Price and co.

Bany’s career stats

Bany is touted to be a wonderkid at West Brom, yet his fitness has always been a concern.

However, it’s promising to see that despite not playing much football in the last nine months, Bany is held in high regard on an international level.

Jordan qualified for the upcoming World Cup for the first time in their history, and Bany could play a huge role in cementing them as dark horses in the competition.

Bany’s first games for his country, should he be used, will be against Tunisia and Mali on 14 and 18 November respectively.

Tammer Bany could yet shine at 2026 World Cup

Whilst Jordan aren’t expected to go far in the World Cup, it could give several young stars the opportunity to express themselves on the biggest stage.

Bany has the potential to build momentum ahead of football’s showpiece in North America, and there’s no reason why he can’t flourish on the international stage.

It’s up to him whether he can break into the first team at West Brom and go into the tournament with confidence.
