West Brom fans should be furious after latest announcement from EFL
West Brom have had multiple of their upcoming fixtures changed for TV selection.
The Baggies have been regulars on TV this season thanks to Sky Sports’ broadcast deal.
This is despite West Brom currently struggling in the Championship, and The Hawthorns faithful’s appetite to watch more of Ryan Mason’s football is at a low.
Nevertheless, the EFL announced on 7 November that four of their fixtures in 2026 had been moved, which will inconvenience many fans.

Four more West Brom games selected for TV coverage in January and February
While Mason’s future at West Brom is still up in the air, plans are being made for their games in the new year.
The EFL has confirmed that their matches in January at home to Middlesbrough and away to Derby have been moved to 16 January and 23 January.
This is on top of their away fixture to Leicester City on 5 January already being selected earlier this year.
In February, the Baggies’ games away at Birmingham and at home to Coventry have been placed on 14 February and 21 February.
| Date | Kick-off time | Broadcaster | |
| West Brom vs Middlesbrough | 16 January | 20:00 | Sky Sports Football |
| Derby vs West Brom | 23 January | 20:00 | Sky Sports Football |
| Birmingham vs West Brom | 14 February | 12:30 | Sky Sports Football |
| West Brom vs Coventry | 21 February | 12:30 | Sky Sports Football |
However, in January, both of these matches have fallen on a Friday night, heavily inconveniencing fans.
The Derby away day could be especially problematic, with the last train to Birmingham New Street at Derby Station currently leaving at 22:50.
Therefore, it feels that fans have been an afterthought once again, and West Brom supporters should be furious with the recent announcement.
