West Brom to hold leverage over Macron as record is in sight
West Brom could have significant leverage over their kit supplier Macron as they edge towards a new record turnover.
Macron became West Brom’s kit supplier in the 2024/25 campaign and has been a success to date.
The new home kit at The Hawthorns has been admired by many, with the Baggies aiming to have a memorable season.
Now, while the length of the Baggies’ deal with the Italian kit manufacturer has not been revealed, Dan Plumley believes that the Black Country club will hold leverage when it needs to be renewed.

Dan Plumley: West Brom will do well of Macron’s success
Away from West Brom, and Macron are having a highly successful year to date.
It was revealed on 6 November by Macron that they had closed the third quarter of 2025 with an 8% increase in revenue compared to the first nine months of last year.
Their hope is to achieve a new record turnover by the year-end, something that is increasingly within reach.
Now, financial expert Plumley has exclusively told West Brom News that this can be used to the Baggies’ advantage.
He said: “It can give the club some leverage. If the supplier’s doing well, and their revenue is growing, then that’s, that’s good for business for them.
“If you are on the club’s side, yes, the supplier still takes the majority of the money from the kits that are sold, and all the money is in the deal up front. But, when it’s time for renegotiation, if you’ve got a company that is doing well, then you’ve got a bit of leverage club side as well.
“So you would rather your kit supplier be in a good spot financially than a tricky spot.

“West Brom could probably use that to their leverage in the future when the deal’s up for renewal.”

West Brom must maximise profits wherever possible
Going forward, it is vital that West Brom squeezes out every penny it can.
The Baggies need money if they are to compete with the relegated sides, especially with the Black Country club no longer possessing parachute payments.
Promotion to the Premier League has to be the goal for West Brom, and if they have successful companies alongside them for this task, it will only help them further.
Hopefully, Macron’s success can be an inspiration for West Brom as they look to achieve their goals.
