Supercomputer predicts outcome of Coventry vs West Brom

West Brom are set to travel to Coventry on Saturday as they look to make it back-to-back wins in the Championship.

With the international break now coming to an end, many of West Brom’s stars will be making their way back to The Hawthorns.

The Baggies went into the international break on a high as they overcame Oxford United 2-1 at The Hawthorns.

However, they arguably face their biggest task of the season so far on Saturday when they take on table-toppers Coventry City.

Coventry City heavy favourites for West Brom showdown

It will surprise few that Coventry are the favourites to overcome the Baggies on Saturday.

With West Brom struggling in front of goal, the Sky Blues do not have this issue and go into the match as the Championship’s top scorers with a whopping 40 netted in 15 games.

Now, Opta on 16 November has made Coventry the overwhelming favourites at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The supercomputer believes that the hosts have a 60.5 per cent chance of picking up three points, compared to the Baggies’ 18.7 per cent chance.

The odds of a draw are currently set at 20.8 per cent.

West Brom have a solid recent record against Coventry in recent years, winning four of their last six meetings.

However, their last match against the Sky Blues ended in a defeat, with Frank Lampard’s side running out 2-0 winners.

Now, Ryan Mason will be looking to put the Baggies’ promotion hopes back on track with a shock result after the international break.
