Every West Brom player that could join Tammer Bany at the World Cup

West Brom star Tammer Bany’s Jordan have already qualified for the World Cup.

West Brom fans were shocked when Bany was called up for the squad last week after not playing for the Baggies since April, and he looks set to go to the tournament.

West Brom have had five players play for England at the World Cup, the competition that is the pinnacle of football, but there will be no Baggies in Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

West Brom News rounds up who could join Bany in qualifying for the prestigious tournament, through the upcoming playoffs in March.

Chris Mepham – Wales

Ryan Mason, if he is still in the dugout, should have a couple of stars who may feature at the competition in the United States next summer.

Chris Mepham‘s Wales needed Belgium to be defeated by Liechtenstein to have any chance of qualifying automatically for the tournament.

However, Rudy Garcia’s side thrashed the minnows 7-0, and the Welsh will have to settle for a place in the play-offs.

Mepham is one of the most experienced players in Craig Bellamy’s ranks, with 53 caps for the Dragons, including three appearances at the 2022 edition in Qatar.

Mikey Johnson and Jayson Molumby – Republic of Ireland

Mikey Johnson and Jayson Molumby are staples of Heimir Hallgrimsson’s Republic of Ireland squad.

Despite beating Portugal and Hungary in the last two qualification matches, the Irish will have to go through the playoffs to make the competition.

Johnson will be hoping to add to his 19 caps for his country, with Molumby having 32 to his name already.

What other West Brom players could be at the World Cup?

There are two Albion players whose countries have qualified, but their status remains uncertain.

George Campbell could be part of the United States’ squad for the tournament on home soil, although that may be an unlikely prospect given that he was last capped in January.

Aune Heggebo is another Baggies ace who will be hoping to be on the plane after he was handed his Norway debut in September.

The striker played again in the October international break, but was not called up for the most recent break, leaving his place in limbo.
