‘West Brom could be hit by £10m loss’ as Ryan Mason worries continue – Exclusive
West Brom are struggling massively under Ryan Mason.
Mason is under real pressure at The Hawthorns, with West Brom fans wanting Michael Carrick as his replacement already.
West Brom take on Birmingham in a massive local derby on Wednesday, with defeat likely pushing Shilen Patel to make another managerial change.
Mason needs a win, with the cost of relegation to League One catastrophic for The Albion.

West Brom could lose £10million overnight
While nobody truly believes West Brom are in relegation danger, the struggles of Sheffield United only show how quickly that can change.
Dan Plumley has warned that it would lead to a £10million revenue hit instantly, through loss of commercial contracts and the TV deals on offer.
“It’s not a situation you want to be in,” the football finance expert exclusively told West Brom News. “Particularly if you’re West Brom and you have eyes further up the table.
“In terms of numbers, it’s roughly around a £10million hit in revenue terms.
“Most of that is TV money, the difference between an EFL payment from that TV deal linked to the Premier League deal, then you’ve got a couple of extra million from an expected drop off in commercial contracts.

“You may also take a bit of an attendance dip, given you’re in a lower league, so circa-£10m is your figure off the revenue line.
“It’s not as huge a hit as relegation from the Premier League to the Championship, but still, it’s a significant amount of money, and it’s not where you want to be.
“You don’t want to get stuck in there, but I think they will probably be ok. There are a couple of teams that you feel are buried, but you certainly don’t want to get dragged into that battle.”

West Brom state of play in the Championship
West Brom are somehow currently 17th in the Championship.
Despite an eight-point gap to the bottom three, with the likes of Norwich and Sheffield United currently in there, worries are starting to creep in.
With Birmingham and Swansea next up, both at The Hawthorns, points need to start being collected before relegation becomes a real possibility.
You can’t be naive in this division.
