West Brom could match horrifying record last seen under Steve Bruce in QPR showdown
West Brom are set to travel to QPR on Saturday, where they will be looking to avoid a sixth consecutive league away defeat.
The pressure on Ryan Mason has eased at The Hawthorns after West Brom staged a wonderful comeback against Swansea City to win 3-2 last weekend.
However, while many of the points have been coming in in the Black Country, the Baggies have struggled to achieve an away result.
Last time on their travels, Mason was the victim of a comeback himself when Coventry beat West Brom 3-2 despite the visitors going 2-0 up.
Now, West Brom will be looking to finally end their terrible run away from home against QPR.

West Brom looking to avoid a sixth consecutive away league defeat for the first time since 2022
While the Baggies have got their form back on track in recent games, they still face a tricky test on Saturday.
QPR go into the West Brom game as favourites, with the London side just one place below Mason’s side in 13th and are level on points.
However, if the Baggies are defeated on Saturday, it will be the first time they have lost six consecutive away league matches since February 2022, according to BBC Sport on 5 December, with Valerien Ismael and Steve Bruce overseeing this awful record.

It would finally be broken in March, with West Brom overcoming Huddersfield 2-0.
QPR’s home record explained
One factor that may please Mason is that QPR have struggled at home in recent months.
In their last five matches at Loftus Road, they have only won once, while also suffering a big defeat to Ipswich Town.
| QPR’s home record in the Championship this season | |
| Wins | 3 |
| Draws | 2 |
| Losses | 3 |
| Goals for | 11 |
| Goals against | 12 |
Therefore, the first goal could prove to be key for Mason to help enhance the hosts’ doubts that they can win.
Hopefully, come Saturday evening, West Brom will be walking away with another three points.
