Ryan Mason sack date comes clear as Southampton vs West Brom result predicted by supercomputer

Ryan Mason is under immense pressure at The Hawthorns.

West Brom’s 3-2 win over Swansea is their only victory from their last four, with Albion struggling under Mason this season.

After 19 games, the Baggies sit 16th in the Championship, though it’s important to note that they are also just five points away from the top six.

West Brom are clear underdogs for Southampton trip

Many West Brom fans have been left questioning how Mason hasn’t been sacked yet, with the Baggies having lost eight of their 19 games already this season.

A lack of consistency has been their biggest downfall, with one excellent result closely followed by a dreadful one, which was the case in the last two encounters.

Defeat to Southampton could spell the end for Mason, and via Opta‘s supercomputer, that is the most likely outcome of the game.

The Saints have been awarded a 51.5 per cent chance of victory, while Albion have a 23.8 per cent chance of taking all three points.

If that prediction were to come true, there is a good chance that Mason would be sacked as West Brom manager this week.

Ryan Mason will be looking to Aune Heggebo to save his job

West Brom’s away form has been terrible this season, with just three wins from their 10 encounters on the road.

It’s the seventh-worst away record in the Championship, showcasing how big the task is that lies ahead for the Baggies.

West Brom’s record on their travels this season

With that said, Aune Heggebo’s form is the only reason Albion have a chance of victory against Southampton, with the Norwegian having scored seven goals so far this season.

Six of those have come in his last five games, and with the 24-year-old showcasing such impressive form, Mason will be looking at him to deliver the goods on Tuesday.
