West Brom schedule Ryan Mason press conference amid latest sack news
West Brom seem to be keeping Ryan Mason in charge at the moment.
Mason is in a precarious position at West Brom after a run of just two wins in six matches, which has left Albion sitting 16th in the Championship.
West Brom were expected to contend for the playoffs, but the inexperienced head coach has struggled to get results after a positive start.
He will hope for some respite when his side and he may have been handed it after a new announcement ahead of the clash with Sheffield United on Friday.

West Brom schedule press conference for Ryan Mason despite sack talk
It seems as though Mason will be given a stay of execution, as he is set to hold his press conference for the Sheffield United clash.
The Express and Star’s Lewis Cox claimed on 10 December, that the 34-year-old will speak to media on Thursday (11 December) in the early afternoon.
That suggests that Mason will be going nowhere at the moment, and will be in charge for the clash on 12 December.

West Brom’s record vs Sheffield United will haunt Mason
Given the increasing pressure on his job security and the immense anger from supporters, the Baggies’ record against the Blades will be a huge concern for the boss.
West Brom are the favourites against Chris Wilder’s side, who sit one place below them heading into the contest.
However, Mason needs to be wary, as the Blades have a brilliant record against Albion in recent years, with just one loss in the last six matches.
The Baggies’ 4-0 victory in August 2021 is the only win that the Black Country outfit has recorded against the Yorkshire side in that period.
That will leave the former Tottenham coach feeling very worried ahead of the contest, as he bids to save his job in his first managerial role.
He needs a win desperately, if he is to take the pressure off his shoulders for the immediate term, but that may not be enough for Shilen Patel and Co to keep him around in the long term.
