Chris Davies now favourite to be sacked ahead of Ryan Mason after Birmingham developments
Ryan Mason secured a much-needed West Brom win against Sheffield United on Friday.
West Brom beat Chris Wilder and Sheffield United 2-0 at The Hawthorns, thanks to goals from Aune Heggebo and Karlan Grant.
Mason was the favourite to be sacked going into that game, but the odds have now shifted somewhat in his favour following the three points.
Many West Brom fans have called for Michael Carrick to replace him, but that may have been put on hold ahead of the Christmas fixtures.

Ryan Mason not favourite to be sacked next in Championship as odds shift
Mason is no longer the bookmaker’s favourite to be sacked next in the Championship.
Funnily enough, that honour falls on Birmingham manager, Chris Davies.
When West Brom drew 1-1 with Birmingham at The Hawthorns at the end of November, not many would have expected these two to be in sack contention weeks later.
Birmingham drew 1-1 with Charlton at St Andrew’s on Saturday, leaving them one point and three spots above the Baggies in the Championship.
This is despite Tom Brady and Tom Wagner’s grand mission to get back to the Premier League as soon as possible.
Davies is now the 4/1 favourite to be sacked next in the Championship, with Mason coming in second at 5/1, with ambition potentially their downfall.
Who else could be sacked in Championship?
Other names on the list, unsurprisingly, include Gary Rowett and former West Brom manager Valerien Ismael, who is struggling at Blackburn.
Henrik Pedersen and Marti Cifuentes complete the top six, with the busy Christmas period heading into January popular for a change at the helm.

West Brom travel to high-flying Hull next, with home games against Bristol City and QPR to end the year at The Hawthorns.
As things stand, Mason will be in charge of all three and hopefully, will end into 2026 with another nine points under his belt and the play-offs in sight.
