West Brom could bank new six-figure windfall after latest FA announcement
West Brom are still pushing to earn promotion to the Premier League this season, no matter how far away that seems at this stage.
Ryan Mason was under severe pressure of the sack before West Brom’s 2-0 win over Sheffield United on Friday evening, which has improved the mood.
The Baggies are now 15th in the Championship, but only six points away from the play-offs and Hull City, who they entertain next.
After the busy Christmas period comes the FA Cup too, with added incentives now on the line.

West Brom draw Swansea City in the FA Cup
West Brom have drawn Swansea City in the FA Cup third round, with the trip to Wales scheduled for the second weekend of January.
Dan Plumley has shared the added financial implications for the Baggies.
Speaking exclusively to West Brom News, the football finance expert revealed that a six-figure windfall is on the line for the winners, with ticket sales also split.
“It’s not the best draw, but a winnable tie, so perhaps an opportunity to generate some more money further down the line in the competition,” Plumley said.

“Third round winners will pocket £121,500 (losers get £26,500) and they will get almost half of the gate money from the Swansea match.
“That is because of the way ticket money is split in the FA Cup.“
How did West Brom fare in FA Cup last season?
West Brom have already beaten Swansea this season, so they will fancy their chances.
They didn’t have the same luck last season, that’s for sure.
Travelling to the Vitality Stadium in the third round, West Brom were smashed 5-1 by Bournemouth, despite taking the lead against the Cherries.
Another memorable mention must go to the Wolves showdown in 2024, with carnage unfolding at The Hawthorns in the latest Black Country derby.
West Brom will be hoping for a much quieter affair in South Wales, with a win and passage to the fourth round all that counts for Mason and the Albion.
