One year on since Carlos Corberan ruined West Brom’s Christmas: Everything that’s happened since
Carlos Corberan ruined last Christmas for the majority of West Brom supporters.
Corberan left West Brom to return to Valencia on Christmas Day, with the Baggies sitting one place behind the playoffs.
The Spaniard was a beloved figure at The Hawthorns, bonding with supporters in his 26 months in charge.
Corberan was helped by the fact that he recorded a 43.93 win percentage, winning 47 of his 107 matches in charge.
Here, West Brom News looks at what has happened since his departure.

The immediate aftermath of Corberan’s West Brom exit
Chris Brunt, Boaz Myhill and Damia Abella were placed in interim charge of West Brom after the 42-year-old’s exit.
The trio led the Baggies to just one win in six matches, a 3-1 Championship win over Preston North End.
They also oversaw a brutal FA Cup exit at the hands of Bournemouth, in which Albion were defeated 5-1.
They would depart with a win percentage of 16.6.
The likes of Raphael Wicky, Mark Robins and John Eustace were linked with the vacancy, but a familiar face would return instead.
West Brom legend returns to the dugout
Tony Mowbray was appointed as the new permanent West Brom manager on 17 January. 24 days after Corberan departed.
The 62-year-old is a legend in the West Midlands after guiding the Black Country club to the Premier League in the 2007-08 season.
His reign started with a 2-0 away loss to Middlesbrough, before he picked up his first win since returning with a 5-1 trashing of Portsmouth at home.
However, any hopes that the result would kickstart a winning run were dashed after they lost 2-1 to Plymouth in their next match.
Mowbray sacked after West Brom return turns toxic
The football under Mowbray was uninspiring, and the results were even worse.
Mowbray would win just four of the next 14, and he was dismissed after a 3-1 home defeat against Derby County, which left the club six points off the playoffs with two matches to play.
His win ratio in his second stint with the Throstles was 29.41 per cent.
James Morrison was placed in interim charge for the final two matches of the campaign, with one win and one loss.

Bilkul Football take Ryan Mason gamble
The search for Mowbray’s replacement landed on Ryan Mason, the Tottenham coach who had never held a senior management role before.
He had managed 13 games as interim manager for Spurs, but lacked experience and was seen as a gamble by many observers.
Mason has overseen 23 matches so far, winning eight, and boasts a win ratio of 34.78 per cent.
However, he is under pressure with Albion sitting 16th in the Championship, seven points off the final playoff place.
So far, Bilkul Football has shown no intention of sacking the 34-year-old, and he looks likely to remain in the dugout heading into the New Year.
How has Corberan fared since leaving West Brom?
Corberan headed back to Spain to take over his hometown club, as they sat second-bottom in La Liga, four points from safety.
He would lead them to a resurgence, picking up victories over the likes of Real Madrid and Sevilla and securing a 12th-place finish.
However, he is having a tough time this season, with the Los Ches sitting 17th in the division, just one point above the drop zone.
