Chris Brunt has already spoken very highly of West Brom’s potential next manager
Ryan Mason will be lucky to see out the year as West Brom manager.
West Brom host QPR on Monday night, looking to end the year with a win, but also to pick up only their second win since the end of November.
Despite a dreadful campaign, Mason has been afforded chance after chance at The Hawthorns, with time surely running out.
A defeat against QPR could spell the end of him as Baggies boss, and his potential successor has already been praised by Chris Brunt.

Carlos Corberan return could be on the cards
West Brom fans had their Christmas spoiled last year when Carlos Coberan departed West Brom to join Valencia, where he has since struggled.
The Spanish outfit have lost just one of their last eight, though they find themselves 17th in La Liga, with just three wins all season.
Tensions have already started to emerge between Corberan and the supporters, with many wondering why he hasn’t been sacked.
His exit could happen sooner rather than later if their form doesn’t improve, and he is priced at 5/1 to make a stunning return to The Hawthorns if Mason does face the sack.

If that were to be the case, it seems as though Brunt would be a fan of the return, having previously hailed Corberan for what he did at West Brom.

What did Corberan do that impressed Brunt?
Results certainly started to dwindle for Corberan at West Brom, with some fans wanting him to be sacked before he eventually left on his own accord.
However, the Spaniard had methods in place at The Hawthorns that lived on beyond his exit, with Brunt hailing the building blocks that he left behind.
Via the Birmingham Mail on Boxing Day last year, Brunt said: “Why would you change what’s gone pretty well for the majority of the season. We’ve been in every game, so why change that? Carlos prepped a lot before he left.
“Carlos did a great job here for two years and left us in a better place than when he came in, and you can’t say that often. He’s not left us in a bad place, and what he achieved last year, getting us to the play-offs.”
If Corberan were to return to West Brom, he would face a near-impossible task of getting the Baggies back into promotion contention, with an eight-point gap on sixth place already.
