West Brom fans demand investigation after ‘ridiculous’ Tammer Bany update

Tammer Bany’s nightmare time at West Brom continued after suffering a thigh injury that will keep him out for four months.

Andrew Nestor’s decision-making has been put under the spotlight after West Brom sanctioned a £3.3million transfer for Bany from Randers in the summer of 2024.

Since then, the 22-year-old has only made five senior appearances for Albion, with the youngster featuring just once in 2025/26.

Bany has suffered with injury issues throughout his Baggies career, and now, the Jordan international has been dealt a huge blow to his chances of playing more for Ryan Mason.

West Brom fans react to Tammer Bany’s latest injury

After claims that Bany wasn’t fit to start for West Brom, the club’s official X account has revealed that the winger has suffered a thigh injury that will keep him out for four months.

Reacting to this news on social media, some supporters have claimed that an investigation is needed into the medical process when recruiting players.

“I know it’s not his fault and I feel for him. But we’ve signed so many sick notes I’ve lost the empathy for it now,” one fan commented.

“Is it me but has our injury record and fitness got worse since Tony Strudwick has been at the club,” someone else pointed out, while another wrote: “This club needs investigating. Surely this is just not down to bad luck.”

“Any chance Nestor can add in an extra column and formula to his spreadsheet that tracks fitness record? Abysmal waste of limited resources,” a fifth stated.

“How on earth can we sanction 3.5 million on this??” someone else questioned.

“So, a fresh injury, yet sat on the bench for 2 months. Ridiculous signing,” an eighth said.

Anger surrounding Bany’s update comes after the likes of Manchester United loanee Toby Collyer, Josh Maja, and Darryl Dike have all suffered long-term injuries in 2025.

Bany news is crushing for multiple reasons

Bany’s confidence was already on the floor after suffering through multiple setbacks since moving to The Hawthorns, and this latest blow will only damage him even more.

There have been multiple cases in football when young players suffer serious injuries and even end up retiring early, which is something the winger will want to avoid.

Of course, fans are still waiting to see his true talents, and by the time he returns in 2026, he may not be risked with the season coming to an end.

Pre-season will therefore be crucial for Bany, and he will hope to use it as a springboard to showcase his quality, if he doesn’t return before.
