West Brom fans all say the same thing about Ryan Mason after latest Baggies post – ‘Pathetic’

West Brom fans must wonder how long it is until Ryan Mason receives the boot.

A last-gasp Abdul Fatawau screamer saw West Brom lose 2-1 to Leicester City in front of the Sky cameras on Monday night, with Mason creating unwanted history in the process.

West Brom have now lost 10 consecutive away games for the first time in 99 years, with supporters growing tired of the club’s current situation.

Albion were supposed to be challenging for the play-offs in 2025/26, but with only seven points separating them from 22nd-place Norwich City, supporters are instead looking nervously over their shoulders at the prospect of relegation.

West Brom fans react to Ryan Mason’s post-match interview

Mason is on the brink of the sack at West Brom following six defeats in their last eight Championship matches, and fans are fully behind the prospect of him leaving The Hawthorns.

For many, embarrassment has set in after watching their side lose 10 away games on the bounce, and they have now reacted to the loss.

In a post-match interview on West Brom’s official X account, many supporters ridiculed the admin for writing ‘the boss’ after watching them sink to a new low at the King Power Stadium.

“10 losses on the bounce away… worst record in 100 years. The Boss,” someone sarcastically commented, while another wrote: “Just stop calling him ‘the boss’ we’ve lost 10 in a row 10 we don’t want him no one wants him just stop.”

“How can he be a boss when he scurries down the tunnel as soon as the whistle goes,” another replied.

“The boss?? Still??” a fan questioned, and someone else posted: “The boss”, accompanied by a crying face emoji.

Who is in contention to replace Mason?

When fans start voting with their feet, that is when the club must acknowledge that Mason isn’t turning this dire situation around, and he’s lost the support of the fanbase.

It was always a gamble hiring someone as young as 34 to take charge of a Championship club, despite never managing in a permanent capacity.

West Brom probably saw Danny Rohl’s success at Sheffield Wednesday, someone who is a similar age to Mason and thought he could follow in his footsteps at The Hawthorns.

Unfortunately, his tenure so far has turned out to be a disaster, and West Brom are eyeing Michael Carrick as a possible replacement for the manager.

Carrick has been out of work since June, following his dismissal from Middlesbrough, and is the current favourite to takeover.
