Swansea City vs West Brom postponement latest after latest Met Office weather warning
West Brom’s FA Cup third-round clash away to Swansea City on Sunday is set to take place in freezing conditions.
Ryan Mason was sacked this week following West Brom’s 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Monday.
Eric Ramsay is expected to become the new West Brom manager, but former Baggies defender James Morrison will lead the team in the dugout for the FA Cup tie.
Swansea beat West Brom 1-0 on 1 January, with Jay Fulton’s long-range strike condemning Mason to a painful defeat in his penultimate game in charge.
As the Baggies look to win their first away match since 1 October, concerns over the weather across the UK have emerged.
Swansea City vs West Brom not at risk of postponement
Although there was snow in the B71 area on Thursday and Friday, West Brom fans will travel to Swansea facing completely different weather conditions.
No weather warnings have been put in place for Wales on the day of the game, despite there being a risk of snow in the North of England and the entirety of Scotland.
There is a yellow warning in place on Friday and Saturday, as per the Met Office, but this will thankfully clear – as of 9 January – by the day of the game.
With the match kicking off at 2:30pm, fans can expect a temperature of around six degrees Celsius for the duration of the game.

No rain is expected, and the match will not be postponed at the Swansea.com Stadium unless there is a serious change in the forecast.
However, there is also the small matter of the Albion team being able to make it from the West Midlands.
What can James Morrison learn from West Brom’s past meetings with Swansea?
Morrison will lead the team into their third meeting with the Swans in just six weeks.
West Brom won 3-2 at The Hawthorns on 29 November, with Aune Heggebo spearheading a dramatic comeback.
Vitor Matos became the Swansea head coach just five days prior to that clash, and he has deployed a 4-2-3-1 formation in both of the meetings this season.
With the Baggies likely to match up against that, they need to do a better job of retaining possession.
In the New Year’s Day clash, Swansea had 59 per cent of the ball at home, and the Baggies picked up five yellow cards as they struggled to get a foothold in the match.
Mason was let down by his strikers multiple times during his reign, and while his football was boring to watch, the players now need to step up under Morrison.
Ramsay will want to walk into the job off the back of a win, and if Morrison tells his side to control the ball, then it’s up to the forwards to finish the chances that will inevitably come their way.
