Eric Ramsay axes Karlan Grant in two big changes – West Brom predicted XI vs Norwich City

West Brom face Norwich City in a huge relegation six-pointer at The Hawthorns on Tuesday.

Eric Ramsay lost his first West Brom game 3-2 to Middlesbrough on Friday, although there were positive signs that he could oversee an upturn in form.

The Baggies are currently 19th in the Championship table, and the fear of relegation is starting to creep into the thoughts of the fans.

West Brom welcome 22nd-placed Norwich to The Hawthorns, and Philippe Clement’s side have lost just two of their last eight matches.

West Brom beat Norwich 1-0 in October’s reverse fixture, and if Ramsay wants to pick up his first win then he may look to drop Karlan Grant in midweek.

Jed Wallace to come in for Karlan Grant vs Norwich City

Since that win at Carrow Road, West Brom are on a run of 10 successive away defeats in the Championship.

Grant was not in the squad for that game, and he could find himself on the bench in place of Jed Wallace.

The 31-year-old scored and assisted against Middlesbrough after replacing Krystian Bielik in the 64th minute, and he was the catalyst to West Brom’s second-half revival.

Ramsay deployed a 5-4-1/3-4-3 formation on Friday, and he is expected to do the same against Norwich.

Wallace would play off the right wing, meaning Isaac Price could move to the opposite flank, leaving Grant out of the team.

Grant failed to make an impact in Ramsay’s first match, and he could do with a rest on the sidelines.

The other change could see George Campbell come in for Chris Mepham, who has been far from impressive this season.

The Wales international came to B71 with a big reputation, but he has looked shaky throughout the season, and Campbell would offer more on the ball.

West Brom predicted XI vs Norwich.

The formation has certainly been a big change as to what we saw under Ryan Mason, and it may not align with Mikey Johnston’s strengths.

Mikey Johnston set to resume unorthodox role at right wing-back

Johnston has become West Brom’s star man alongside Aune Heggebo, with the pair developing a fantastic relationship in attack.

The Republic of Ireland international has the most assists in the league (nine), while no player has made more successful crosses (37).

However, he was played deeper against Middlesbrough in a wing-back role, which doesn’t suit him at all.

While it means he can cross the ball from deep, Johnston thrives at getting to the byline and whipping his deliveries back across the face of the goal.

Ramsay needs time to implement his style of play, but if Johnston starts to become ineffective, then he’ll undoubtedly have to change his formation.
