Isaac Price terrible as 2/10 even worse – West Brom player ratings vs Norwich

West Brom were hammered 5-0 by Norwich on Tuesday evening.

Eric Ramsay was looking for a response after his West Brom side were defeated at the last-gasp by Middlesbrough last time out.

Oscar Schwartau’s strike gave the visitors the lead with a stunning strike in the 16th minute, and Ali Ahmed doubled the lead after the break.

It then turned into a truly miserable night at The Hawthorns, as Anis Ben Slimane punished some slack defending with a third, Ben Chrisene smashed home a fourth, then Mathias Kvistgaarden notched a fifth.

Isaac Price miserable in West Brom calamity

Isaac Price could not replicate his previous West Brom showing, when his stunning free-kick started the comeback that ultimately ended in heartache against Middlesbrough.

However, he endured vastly different fortunes against Philippe Clement’s side, as he was lined up in a right-wing back role.

He struggled to adapt to the new position, as he could not influence the game going forward, making three passes into the final third, per Sofascore.

He had a 25 per cent success rate with long passes, completing just one of the four that he attempted in the new role.

The Northern Irish midfielder made five defensive contributions, but won just one of four ground duels that he contested.

It was a miserable showing that may force Ramsay to abandon his tactical plan.

Josh Griffiths even worse than Price in West Brom shambles

Josh Griffiths has emerged as the number one under Ramsay, after Ryan Mason experimented with Joe Wildsmith between the sticks.

However, that may be proving to be the wrong decision, as he has now conceded eight goals in his last two appearances.

Griffiths conceded more goals than he made saves against the Canaries, with two saves and five goals allowed in.

He did not exactly help his side when it came to getting out either, as he completed just 15 of his 27 pass attempts for a 56 per cent success rate.

The 24-year-old made just six recoveries in the contest, and had an even worse evening than Price.

The Baggies are in the market for a new goalkeeper, with Remy Descamps and Sebastian Jurado linked, and it is no surprise given their current stopper’s recent showings.
