West Brom want Fisayo Dele-Bashiru transfer after Maurizio Sarri complications
Eric Ramsay has set his sights on signing Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
West Brom signed Max O’Leary from Bristol City earlier this week, handing Eric Ramsay his first signing as Albion boss.
That was also West Brom‘s first signing of the winter window, as Shilen Patel continues to wrestle with financial problems at The Hawthorns.
O’Leary had a nightmare debut in West Brom’s 1-1 draw with Derby on Friday night, though, with Albion now sitting perilously close to the Championship relegation places.

West Brom hold ‘concrete interest’ in Lazio’s Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
Being potent at both ends of the pitch has been a major issue for West Brom so far this season.
With 32 goals scored and 44 conceded in 29 games, Albion are among the lowest-performing sides in the Championship at this point of the campaign.
As such, it’s become evident to many Baggies supporters that reinforcements are needed in the market to bolster the team at both ends of the pitch, in order to give themselves the best chance of avoiding relegation.
Despite that, there is a school of thought that no West Brom signings would’ve meant a good transfer window, with some feeling as though cost-cutting and money-saving measures are more important at the moment.
But, with O’Leary through the door, Patel now seems to have his sights set on splashing the cash once again before the window shuts.

As per a report from La Repubblica on Saturday, as cited by Lazio News 24, West Brom hold a “concrete interest” in signing Lazio midfielder Dele-Bashiru.
Albion are said to be pursuing the 24-year-old, who is understood to be free to leave Lazio this winter, but it’s suggested that there is other interested clubs in England.
It’s stated that the Nigeria international is out of favour with Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri, but he has also been dealing with an injury and problem and has only just returned from AFCON duties.
He can operate as a six, eight or in a more advanced attacking midfield role, providing a potential improvement in both the defensive and offensive side of Albion’s team.
Dele-Bashiru has EFL experience under his belt
Indeed, Dele-Bashiru’s name may prove to be familiar with some West Brom supporters, and for good reason.
Having started his career with Manchester City, he eventually signed for Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2020.
He and the Owls would suffer relegation to League One in his first 2020-21 season, but he would go on to become in important player for them over the next two years in the third tier.
He eventually left for Turkish side Hatayspor in the summer of 2023, where he scored nine goals and provided four assists in 39 appearances, which earned him a move to Lazio on an initial season-long loan for the 2024-25 season.
