Who is Lazio gem Fisayo Dele-Bashiru as West Brom look to beat Nottingham Forest to deal
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is a new name of interest for West Brom fans as the midfielder is linked with a move to The Hawthorns.
It was revealed on Saturday that West Brom hold a concrete interest in Dele-Bashiru and could look to sign the Lazio man before the end of the transfer window.
However, the Baggies would have to beat Nottingham Forest to the 24-year-old as the Premier League outfit are also keeping tabs on the situation.
As the saga begins to develop, West Brom News details everything you need to know about you need to know about Dele-Bashiru.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has Championship experience
Dele-Bashiru joined the Manchester City academy at the age of just eight, but never played a senior game for the club.
Instead, the 24-year-old left in the summer of 2020 to join Sheffield Wednesday, who were in the Championship at the time.
The midfielder made eight appearances in the 2020-21 campaign as the Owls were relegated down to League One.

Dele-Bashiru was instrumental in Wednesday’s promotion back to the second tier two years later though, making 34 appearances and scoring four goals on the way to their play-off final success.
He opted to leave Hillsborough in the summer of 2023 and had a very successful campaign at Turkish side Hatayspor before joining Lazio ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Why is Dele-Bashiru leaving Lazio?
Dele-Bashiru settled into life at Lazio fairly quickly, scoring three goals and grabbing one assist from 20 Serie A appearances in his first campaign at the club.
However, this season has been more difficult for the Nigerian, and he is now out-of-favour under Maurizio Sarri, having only featured eight times in the league this term.

Dele-Bashiru has struggled with injury and spent the last month away at the Africa Cup of Nations, but is now reportedly free to leave Lazio before the end of the winter transfer window.
With West Brom now in real danger of relegation to League One, new manager Eric Ramsay will be desperate to get some more signings through the door.
It remains to be seen whether the Baggies can finalise a deal for Dele-Bashiru, though, as he could cost upwards of £10million.
