West Brom fans told to expect one or two more transfers in new Hawthorns update
West Brom fans have seen just one new signing in the winter transfer window so far.
Max O’Leary arrived as West Brom’s new first-team goalkeeper, as Eric Ramsay did not trust Josh Griffiths or Joe Wildsmith.
West Brom could do with more additions, especially due to injuries to Krystian Bielik and Karlan Grant, but the Profit and Sustainability problems make it difficult.
Andrew Nestor dampened expectations at The Hawthorns ahead of the window opening, and it seems as though nothing will change on the transfer front.

What should West Brom fans expect as transfer deadline approaches
Nestor revealed that the Baggies will be targeting value in the market, which suggests free transfers and loans will be the aim.
The Express and Star journalist Jonny Drury claimed on 27 January that he would be shocked if Albion did not do any business before 2 February.
He stated that it will be loan deals rather than permanent deals, with one or two additions likely as the deadline approaches.
Eric Ramsay set up to fail at West Brom
Ramsay has been doomed from the start of his reign, it is as simple as that.
When a new manager comes in, especially one who has a distinct tactical plan like he does, they need new signings, that fit the system.
He has not had, and is not going to get that this month in the Black Country, so he will have to work with what he has.
Of course, he must adjust the tactics to fit the squad at his disposal, but he has been hamstrung by a lack of funds, for sure.
| Opponent | Venue | Competition | Result |
| Middlesbrough | The Hawthorns | Championship | 3-2 |
| Norwich | The Hawthorns | Championship | 0-5 |
| Derby | Pride Park | Championship | 1-1 |
Hopefully, the financial state improves in the summer as it is expected to, and he can finally make his mark on the club for the new season.
For now, his focus must be on surviving in the second tier, so that he is able to give it a go in the new campaign.
It must also be said that it is not Bilkul Football’s fault either, they inherited a mess from Guochaun Lai, and have done a great job keeping the club afloat and not falling foul of PSR.
However, it is a rubbish situation for the new manager to walk in to.
