West Brom eye deadline-beating loan for midfield ace Eric Ramsay loves

Eric Ramsay’s West Brom squad may start to shape up as the transfer deadline draws close.

The Baggies fanbase has been told to expect one or two more signings this window, following on from Max O’Leary’s arrival at West Brom.

So far, the Irish goalkeeper has been the only addition at The Hawthorns.

Lazio’s Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has been heavily linked with West Brom, and the midfielder would be an excellent signing for the B71 outfit.

Additionally, Louie Barry has been tipped to return to the club in which he spent 10 years in the academy.

Now, another potential arrival has been mooted.

West Brom looking to sign Joseph Rosales on loan

Eric Ramsay will be hoping to turn things around at West Brom after he was brought into the club following the sacking of Ryan Mason.

Every manager will want to put their own identity on the squad, and that is often done through recruitment in the transfer market.

Ramsay may have quite the say in what moves are made based on the latest transfer link.

According to Sportsboom, a loan move for Joseph Rosales to make the switch to West Brom is ‘on the cards’.

Ramsay already knows the player, as he has previously managed him at Minnesota throughout his time in America.

Rosales is a versatile option and has played numerous times in various positions throughout his career but is predominantly a left-sided player.

His most used position has been at left-back, but in total, he has played most in the midfield.

The 25-year-old is a Honduran international, having been capped 36 times by his country, and has spent his career split between Panama and the USA.

What Eric Ramsay has previously said about Rosales

With Ramsay already knowing Rosales, the West Brom manager will know the style of player that he would be getting.

Ramsay has previously said: “Joseph is very intelligent in how he interprets the role. He’s comfortable coming inside, defending wide, or helping us control the middle of the pitch.

“Joseph is someone we trust in a number of different roles. He understands the game well and gives us flexibility.”

The new Baggies chief will be hoping that the player can continue to show that intelligence in the Championship if a move does come to fruition.

Rosales is clearly highly trusted by Ramsay, and that is a big positive about any potential move for him. Let’s see what happens over the coming days at The Hawthorns.
