Danny Imray has dismal debut as 2/10 even worse – West Brom player ratings vs Portsmouth

West Brom were hammered 3-0 by Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon.

Conor Chaplin opened the scoring with a stunning effort after 20 minutes, before Millenic Alli doubled the lead just five minutes later.

Ebou Adams put the result beyond doubt early in the second half, and while the Baggies tried to fight back, they could not even manage a consolation.

The result will only put more pressure on Eric Ramsay, as Albion now sit just three points outside of the relegation zone, with Blackburn having a game in-hand.

Danny Imray endures nightmare debut

Danny Imray only joined Albion this week, but he was thrust straight into the starting line-up for the clash with Pompey.

Playing in his familiar right-wing back role, the Crystal Palace loanee did not have the required impact on his debut.

He had just 20 touches, attempted just 10 passes in 45 minutes, completing just four of those and made one pass into the final third, per Sofascore.

His only cross attempt failed, and he did not make much noise defensively either on a miserable afternoon for the new Baggies ace.

Imray made just two tackles and had four recoveries, and only won 50 per cent of the six duels that he attempted in the contest.

He was hooked at half-time after a nightmare start to his Albion career.

Samuel Iling-Junior even worse for West Brom

Iling-Junior is a polarising figure amongst the Albion fanbase, and he often frustrates with his inconsistency.

He was even worse than Imray on this occasion, taking just 20 touches, attempting nine passes, and completing just five of them.

He has two touches in the opposition box, made one pass into the final third and failed to complete either of his two cross attempts.

Defensively, he made one tackle, one block and one clearance, with two recoveries, but that is not his primary job.

He was unsurprisingly replaced at half-time, and will no doubt have supporters calling for his loan to be terminated after this showing.

Those will be fully justified after another poor showing from the Aston Villa loanee, in which, he failed to get going, once again.
