West Brom fans think they’ve cracked who’ll replace Andrew Nestor in Hawthorns shake-up
West Brom’s season is going from bad to worse as things unravel on and off the pitch.
As the Championship season enters its final third, West Brom are hovering just above the relegation zone despite having one of the bigger budgets in the division.
Although he has been in charge for just four games, West Brom boss Eric Ramsay is reportedly fighting for his job after picking up just a point from a possible 12 so far.
The Baggies sit just three points above the bottom three and to make matters worse, West Brom president Andrew Nestor is said to have quit his role.
Nestor was also the club’s sporting director, meaning West Brom need to fill that position as well. Now, fans think they know who could replace him.
Who could replace Andrew Nestor at West Brom?
Just before Christmas, Nestor told fans in a club statement that West Brom were looking to recruit a new technical director who would focus on “evolution” of their game model, squad planning and balance, academy operations, player pathways, and technology and performance analysis innovation.
In light of reports of Nestor’s departure, which is likely to be down to questionable managerial appointments and signings, fans are speculating who will be sworn in as a potential replacement. And one name that keeps coming up is Dominic Price.
One fan tweeted: “Dominic Price? Isn’t he with Tel Aviv?”
Other West Brom supporters were a bit more hopeful of a big-name in the technical director role; one that had cut his teeth at The Hawthorns.
So, who is Price? Well, he did a law degree at Liverpool John Moores University before working in Liverpool’s academy from 2014-20.
After two years as a first-team performance analyst at Blackpool, he rejoined Liverpool as a first-team post-match analyst.
Off the back of his work there, Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv appointed him as their technical director in July 2023, and he has been there ever since. Now, it seems West Brom may be lining him up to become their own technical director.

West Brom facing critical period to save their season
After West Brom lost 3-0 to fellow Championship strugglers Portsmouth on Saturday, many fans went into meltdown mode, fearing their team would be relegated to League One.
For a big club that is expected to be challenging for promotion each season, sitting 21st in the table is not acceptable. If results don’t improve soon, they could quite feasibly drop into the bottom three.

The Portsmouth game may have presented the Baggies with an opportunity to pick up points but in the end, Pompey leapfrogged them in the table with a resounding victory.
Next up for West Brom is a home clash against Stoke City and then they travel to local rivals Birmingham City over the next 10 days.
If results don’t improve soon, Ramsay could be out of the job.
