West Brom star sends message from hospital bed as surgery completed
West Brom require a turn of form right now, and the last thing Eric Ramsay needs is injuries.
The Baggies are on a slippery slope, and Ramsay could be heading into a relegation scrap after the evidence seen from his first four games in charge.
West Brom lost 3-0 to Portsmouth last time out in the Championship, with Albion without Karlan Grant, who suffered a leg injury in the draw to Derby County the game before.
The winger has had a turbulent time at The Hawthorns, but Ramsay will be hoping that the Englishman can return to fitness sooner rather than later.

Karlan Grant shares positive update on surgery
Grant has shown his importance for West Brom in the past, but he’s struggled with fitness issues at times, even at the start of this campaign.
The 28-year-old has made it his mission to get back to the Premier League with Albion ever since he joined before relegation during the 2020-21 season.
- Grant joined Albion from Huddersfield Town in October 2020
- He has scored 34 goals in total for the Baggies since
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Grant shared an update with Baggies fans on how his surgery went.
Grant said: “What doesn’t break you only makes you stronger. Surgery went well, thank God. Road to recovery, let’s get it.”
It’s not known when the 28-year-old will be back in action, but it will most likely be a while yet.

Multiple West Brom stars reacted to his post with gestures of support, including Daryl Dike, who knows all about the horrors of being sidelined.

It’s now or never for Daryl Dike after Grant injury
Dike has suffered various injury problems ever since a big-money move to The Hawthorns in January of 2022.
Yet the American is still accepted by Baggies fans, who are all desperate to see the striker achieve success for the Black Country club.
- Dike has made just 53 appearances for West Brom in over four years
- He has scored nine goals
Ramsay is going to need to give the American a chance, as Dike has shown signs that he can excel in a one-striker formation, which the West Brom boss likes to play.
His physical presence can cause headaches for defences, and he may be what’s needed for Albion to get back on track.
Time will tell, but Grant’s injury has further opened up Dike’s chances of playing.
