Every West Brom player now set to leave in summer: £7.7m star and new signing

West Brom are at risk of losing several players in the summer.

The Baggies completed the loan signings of Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba, Danny Imray and Hindolo Mustapha in the winter transfer window.

Goalkeeper Max O’Leary also joined on a permanent deal from Bristol City, and that paved the way for some outgoings.

Samuel Iling-Junior, Joe Wildsmith and Toby Collyer were among those to depart, and more could be heading for the exit door at the end of the campaign.

Max O’Leary

O’Leary has already played twice for West Brom and made a costly mistake on his debut by dropping a cross in the 1-1 draw to Derby on 23 January.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper needs to improve his ability at claiming crosses, but he has proven himself to be an effective shot-stopper at Bristol City.

He was signed on a short-term deal until the end of the season, and Eric Ramsay will probably want to spend some money on his replacement.

As Shilen Patel had to abide by financial restrictions, the Baggies were left with little choice but to sign O’Leary for free.

Therefore, it looks as though he may only be in B71 until June, before being made available to other clubs.

Josh Maja

After impressing in the 2024-25 campaign, many fans thought that Josh Maja could lead West Brom to finishing in the playoff positions.

However, the arrival of Aune Heggebo has left him fighting for his place in the team, and he just started one match under Ramsay so far.

According to Transfermarkt, the Nigeria international is valued at £7.7million, but with his contract expiring at the end of the season, the Baggies could lose him for free.

It’s up to the 27-year-old striker to rediscover his goalscoring form, although it’s unclear if he’ll be given many chances by Ramsay.

After a three-year spell in B71, it doesn’t look likely that he’ll be a Baggies player next season.

Charlie Taylor

Charlie Taylor is another man whose deal at West Brom runs out in June, and the Baggies definitely need an upgrade in defence.

Despite having extensive Premier League experience with Burnley in the past, he now looks well past his best.

The 32-year-old left-back doesn’t suit playing in Ramsay’s system, and he has been tested on the left side of central defence.

This has not gone to plan at all, and he has been part of a backline that has conceded 11 goals in his last three appearances.

Jed Wallace

Jed Wallace has been impressive for West Brom after arriving from Millwall in June 2022.

However, he was hardly offered a chance to play under Ryan Mason, starting just four league games in the Championship all season.

The veteran can hold his head high for some of his performances after scoring key goals against Swansea and Middlesbrough in January.

However, it seems incredibly unlikely that Wallace‘s contract will be renewed in the summer, and his time in B71 will surely come to an end.

Daryl Dike

Daryl Dike could leave West Brom this month, having made just 10 appearances in all competitions this season due to prolonged complications with his Achilles injury.

The USA international made his first start of the season against Swansea in the FA Cup third-round win on 11 January, and looked incredibly rusty alongside Maja up front.

He was linked with a move to Blackburn in January, and despite showcasing promising potential prior to his arrival at West Brom in 2022, he hasn’t lived up to expectations.

The 25-year-old striker has missed 128 games for the Baggies due to fitness problems.

It would be foolish for West Brom to renew his deal before it expires in the summer, given his worrying injury record.

Karlan Grant

Karlan Grant has been one of West Brom’s more consistent players this season.

The 28-year-old forward has scored three league goals for the Baggies and has shown promise when he has been named in the starting lineup.

However, Grant went off injured in West Brom’s draw to Derby with a hamstring injury, and he is now unavailable for up to three months.

With his contract expiring in June, the rest of his career in B71 doesn’t look promising.

Ramsay may decide that he has not seen enough to offer him a new contract, and if he has any setbacks in his recovery, then he may have played his last game for the Baggies.

Mikey Johnston

Although Grant has impressed in different spells, Mikey Johnston has clearly been West Brom’s most consistent player this campaign.

He has nine assists in the Championship, which is the most of any player in the league.

Turkish side Trabzonspor tried to sign the 26-year-old late on in the winter transfer window, but West Brom’s stance was clear that they did not want to sell him mid-season.

However, this summer could be a different problem, especially if the Baggies drop down to League One.

Several clubs across Europe will be interested in the Republic of Ireland international, and he may only spend the rest of this season at The Hawthorns before moving on.

What’s clear is that the Baggies will face a tough task to replace him.
