Hal Robson-Kanu has just said what every West Brom fan’s thinking about Shilen Patel
Hal Robson-Kanu has shared his views on the ownership situation at West Brom, and it’s fair to say supporters will fully agree with the former forward.
Albion are in a state of disarray right now as they find themselves inside the Championship relegation zone.
Not since 1993 have the Baggies played in the third tier of English football, but that is a realistic possibility this year as they are 22nd with 16 matches to play.
West Brom’s 3-0 loss to Portsmouth last weekend has already put recently-appointed boss Eric Ramsay under serious pressure.
But Albion’s problems are not just consigned to the field, with changes also taking place behind the scenes.

West Brom ownership need to be ‘strong’ – Hal Robson-Kanu
Andrew Nestor departed as West Brom’s president and sporting director last week in a huge development high up at The Hawthorns.
A replacement appears to have been lined up in Dominic Price, with that said to be a move Bilkul – headed by Shilen Patel – have pushed for.
Fans have slowly started to turn on Patel, who is the face of West Brom‘s demise right now, even if he did plenty of great work to steady the ship when taking over from Guochuan Lai.
Former West Brom player Robson-Kanu has now given his thoughts on the situation, calling on the ownership to stand firm.
“My final season in professional football was in the Premier League with West Brom and the club needs real strong ownership, a strong direction, a real strong vision and needs to bring together a squad which is passionate about a common goal to excite and reward the fans for their loyalty,” he told BBC Radio WM.

Albion fans will totally agree with that. This is no time for hot heads, and instead everyone has to remain as calm as possible in the hope of turning things around.
West Brom’s woes could deepen amid Stoke City reveal
It goes without saying that Saturday’s clash with Stoke City is truly massive for Ramsay.
Anything less than a victory for West Brom, coupled with one or two relegation rivals getting points on the board, would be devastating.

And the bad news for the Baggies is that they have beaten Stoke just once in their past five league meetings at The Hawthorns.
The solitary victory in that run came in November 2022, so Ramsay’s men will have to put that right this weekend.
It is unknown if Patel himself will be in attendance for the showdown, but if he is, he will again see first hand the state things are in right now on the field.
