Supercomputer predicts West Brom to do something vs Stoke for first time in over three years
Next up for West Brom is hosting Stoke City at The Hawthorns, with Eric Ramsay hoping to turn things around.
The Baggies have had a terrible season both on and off the pitch. Right now, they sit in 22nd place in the Championship, and not too long ago, club president Andrew Nestor resigned from his role.
Supporters are growing frustrated with Shilen Patel, with Hal Robson-Kanu dishing out advice to the owner amid the chaos.
Right now, the focus will be on making sure the Baggies are still in the Championship next season, and so far, it has not been working out for the club.
However, Leicester City’s points deduction widens the race for survival in the Championship, and a result against Stoke City would go a long way in helping West Brom’s chances.

West Brom slight favourites to beat Stoke City
West Brom and Stoke are in completely opposite realms in England’s second tier at the moment.
The Potters are looking to finish in the play-off spots and achieve promotion to the Premier League. They are just five points off their target.
For the Baggies, they are simply looking to stay in the league, and so far, they are firmly sat in the relegation zone.
However, despite the two contrasting positions, Ramsay’s side has been picked as favourites to win, although it is quite close.
According to Opta’s supercomputer, the Baggies have a 39.1 per cent chance of picking up all three points, with Stoke receiving a 34.4 per cent chance.
The likelihood of the points being shared takes up the remaining 26.5 per cent.

West Brom have not beat Stoke at home since 2022
While the supercomputer’s projections may come as a surprise, it is even more so considering West Brom’s recent record against Stoke at The Hawthorns.
In the last five league meetings between the two sides at Albion’s home ground, the Baggies have only managed to win on one occasion.
This came in a 2-0 victory back in November 2022.
- West Brom 1-1 Stoke City (January 2025)
- West Brom 1-1 Stoke City (December 2023)
- West Brom 2-0 Stoke City (November 2022)
- West Brom 1-3 Stoke City (April 2022)
- West Brom 0-1 Stoke City (January 2020)
However, while form for West Brom has been poor, Ramsay does have the benefit of his opposition coming into this tie with the same concern. Stoke have not won a league match since 4 January against Norwich.
Additionally, the West Midlands club did win the reverse fixture earlier in the season, thanks to a Nat Phillips 14th-minute goal.
