West Brom relegation chances shift in new supercomputer prediction, from bad to worse for Eric Ramsay

Eric Ramsay has failed to bring stability to West Brom, as Championship relegation looks increasingly likely.

Shilen Patel has taken responsibility for the debacle at The Hawthorns, but the Baggies are faced with a nervous wait until the end of the season as they sit 20th in the league table.

Ramsay managed to get a point against Stoke City at home on 7 February, but the Welsh manager arguably needs a consistent run of results to ease tensions in B71.

After the latest set of games in the Championship, the Albion continue to stare the drop as they sit just one point above 22nd-place Blackburn Rovers.

West Brom to barely avoid Championship relegation in new prediction

West Brom had a 25 per cent chance of being relegated from the Championship a few weeks back, but things have gotten worse since.

Opta’s supercomputer now gives the Baggies a 36.62 per cent chance of going down to League One, with Blackburn, Oxford United and Sheffield Wednesday still the favourites to finish in the bottom three.

The Hawthorns faithful have a lot to worry about due to Ramsay’s struggles at the Black Country club since being appointed.

Since arriving from Minnesota United, the Welsh boss has failed to record a Championship victory in his five games in charge, losing three and drawing two.

The Albion have some tough fixtures coming up in the league, with Coventry making a trip to B71 on 21 February and a possible bottom-of-the-table clash against Oxford at the end of the month.

Eric Ramsay sack pressure to increase after Birmingham City reveal

There’s already talk of sacking Ramsay at The Hawthorns, with the Manchester United coach showing few signs of improvement.

Opta’s prediction has given Birmingham City a 55 per cent chance of beating West Brom on 10 February at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park.

Another loss could potentially make life difficult for the Welsh manager, who hasn’t made a strong case for himself since replacing Mason, and a managerial change may be on the cards in B71.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Bilkul Football needing to take drastic steps to save the Black Country club’s campaign, which started with hopes of making the play-offs.
