Daffy Duck expects West Brom victory over Norwich in farcical prediction
Cartoon icon Daffy Duck believes West Brom will beat Norwich in the FA Cup fourth round.
Yes, seriously. Why would that be a joke?
In this weekend’s BBC Sport FA Cup fourth round predictions, Chris Sutton is taking on Daffy Duck and Porky Pig in a score prediction battle.
And, the cartoon pairing believes West Brom will beat Norwich 2-1 at Carrow Road, whilst Sutton is instead going for a 2-0 Norwich win.

Why Daffy Duck thinks West Brom will beat Norwich
With Eric Ramsay still going in search of his first West Brom win as head coach, Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Norwich provides a fresh and different opportunity to do so.
Canaries boss Philippe Clement is dealing with a host of injury problems, and may be forced to rotate his starting XI considerably, potentially handing Albion a golden opportunity to progress to round five.
However, former Norwich striker Sutton is still backing his former side to beat West Brom this weekend, with Ramsay’s wait for a first Albion win predicted to go on.

“This prediction is not quite as straightforward as just looking at recent form,” Sutton said.
“West Brom are really struggling while Norwich are flying – and beat the Baggies 5-0 on 20 January – but my old club have got so many injuries at the moment.
“I am still going to back Norwich here though. Philippe Clement has got the team playing really well and it was great to see Mohamed Toure hit a hat-trick on his first start for the club, against Oxford on Tuesday.”
Daffy Duck disagrees with Sutton though, but unfortunately, he doesn’t dive into some fascinating tactical deep-dive as to why that’s going to be the case.

Instead, he’s siding with the Baggies simply out of spite for Sutton by the sounds of things, which is not the new rivalry anyone was expecting 2026 to birth.
“You keep talking about thith Crith Thutton like I’m thupposed to care about him. Jutht for that I’m picking the Women’s Basketball Association,” Daffy said when informed of Sutton’s Norwich allegiances.
“No, Daffy it says here that WBA is West Bromwich Albion,” Porky pig rightly corrected Daffy.
“Hmmm. What about Eatht Bromwich and North Bromwich, and Thouth Bromwich. That’th a lot of Bromwich!” concluded Daffy.
History books point towards tough afternoon for Albion
Regardless of how in or out of form Norwich are, Carrow Road is always a challenging venue to go and win as an opposing side.
But, the FA Cup is all about underdogs and upsets, and whilst it wouldn’t be a headline-grabbing shock if Albion were to beat the Canaries, it would be an upset all the same.
However, if the recent history between these two clubs is anything to go by, then Ramsay’s side are going to be in for a huge test on Saturday afternoon if they wish to progress to the fifth round.
That’s because in the last five meetings between the two sides in all competitions, West Brom have only managed to beat Norwich once, in a 1-0 away win on 1 October 2025.
Norwich have won three of those five encounters with one draw, and their most recent clash ended in a 5-0 thumping at The Hawthorns on 20 January.
