Philippe Clement set for Norwich City headache as 14 could miss out vs West Brom
West Brom pause their Championship relegation battle on Saturday, as Eric Ramsay’s side take on Norwich City in the FA Cup fourth round.
Ramsay is still in search of his first win as West Brom head coach, who has so far drawn three and lost three from his opening six games in charge.
Norwich will present a tough challenge too, as Philippe Clement’s side are one of the most in-form teams in the Championship, having won five of their last six league games.
However, Albion are entering the tie on the back of a solid away point at Midlands rivals Birmingham City last time out, and are unbeaten in two having also played out a goalless draw with Stoke on 7 February.
Here’s all the players who are set to miss Saturday’s cup clash at Carrow Road.

Latest word on injuries ahead of Norwich vs West Brom
Saturday’s game presents Ramsay with his first opportunity to manage a team in the FA Cup, as it was James Morrison who guided West Brom to third round victory over Swansea on penalties.
And, Ramsay may have an excellent chance at finally claiming his first Albion win as head coach this weekend too, as Norwich boss Philippe Clement is dealing with a vast quantity of injuries.
Both Mirko Topic and Ante Crnac are out for the season, whilst Harry Amass isn’t expected to return until late April at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Amankwah Forson has been out with a hamstring problem since December and isn’t expected back for a little while longer, as is Jeffrey Schlupp.
Star striker Jovon Makama has suffered a broken bone in his foot following Norwich’s win over Blackburn on 7 February, and Clement has suggested he could be out for the season.
Lucien Mahovo, Matej Jurasek, Pelle Mattsson and Shane Duffy are all expected to be unavailable to Clement this weekend too.
As for West Brom, Chris Mepham suffered a hamstring problem following the draw with Stoke, and Ramsay has confirmed he’ll be missing for the next month.
George Campbell and Karlan Grant are also suffering from hamstring injuries, with the former not expected back until late February/early March, and the latter towards the end of April/early May.
| Norwich’s injuries and suspensions | West Brom’s injuries and suspensions |
| Amankwah Forson (doubt) | Chris Mepham (out) |
| Ante Crnac (out) | George Campbell (out) |
| Harry Amass (out) | Karlan Grant (out) |
| Jeffrey Schlupp (doubt) | Tammer Bany (out) |
| Jovon Makama (out) | |
| Lucien Mahovo (doubt) | |
| Matej Jurasek (doubt) | |
| Mirko Topic (out) | |
| Pelle Mattsson (out) | |
| Shane Duffy (doubt) |
Tammer Bany was ruled out for four months at the end of December 2025, and so he won’t be taking any part in this weekend’s game, with that bringing the total injury doubts/absences to 14.
Eric Ramsay should look to attack Norwich cup clash
With so many injuries to key players for Norwich, Ramsay and West Brom must be licking their lips ahead of Saturday’s trip to Norfolk.
It’s not going to be an easy game for Albion, and it remains to be seen just how much value the West Brom boss places on progressing in the FA Cup this season.
However, at this stage of the season and with still no win under his belt as Baggies head coach, Ramsay will surely be looking to take advantage of any possible opportunity to get a victory.
Should they do so, it could bring that winning feeling back to The Hawthorns, and provide them with a platform to start picking up results in the Championship too.
