Daryl Dike’s contract situation: Here’s everything West Brom fans need to know
Daryl Dike faces an uncertain few months at West Brom.
Dike has struggled to get into the Baggies side this season, under both Ryan Mason and new manager Eric Ramsay, due to persistent injury issues.
The ex-Barnsley man has made 12 appearances, scoring no goals and notching no assists for The Hawthorns outfit.
His contract situation is still up in the air, with four months left until he could become a free agent and leave West Brom for nothing.

How are West Brom talks going with Dike?
There have been no indications at the moment that a new contract is on the cards for the American forward.
His current deal expires on 30 June, and given that he has only featured 12 times, with no goals, it would be a surprise if he earned a new one.
It may well be time for both parties to move on in the summer, and have a fresh start without each other, despite Dike’s appreciation for the supporters.
Why is Dike’s situation so complex?
On his day, he is a very good striker, capable of using his physical attributes to bully Championship defenders and score goals.
However, that has not been seen enough since he signed for the Throstles in January 2022 from MLS side Orlando City.
His first season with the club saw him play just twice, with a hamstring issue picked up in his home debut against Peterborough keeping him out for the rest of the campaign.
He missed 19 matches in the 2022-23 season, before scoring seven goals in 22 consecutive appearances under Carlos Corberan.
He would then suffer an Achilles tendon rupture at the end of that campaign, and played just four games in the next one before the same injury struck again.
He eventually returned in February 2025, but Tony Mowbray did not trust him to make an impact on a regular basis.
The same has been the case for Mason and Ramsay.
What has Dike said about the situation?
The player has not gone into detail about his contract situation, but he has indicated that he is happy with the Black Country outfit.
He started for the first time in nine months in the goalless draw with Stoke City on 9 February, and he admitted that he is enjoying his time in the West Midlands.
Speaking to BBC WM after the contest, he said: “For me it’s been a little bit frustrating because I haven’t been able to help as much as I’d have liked to, but at the end of the day I always tell myself no matter what the situation is, control what I can control.
“I always train my hardest and make sure I take care of my body, and I tell myself the chance will come as long as I keep pushing and doing things, everything will work out in your favour.
“For me, I’m living the dream, I know sometimes the dream looks a little different, but I’m still living the dream, and I can’t complain.”
It seems like Dike will move on in the summer, with the well-wishes of everyone associated with the Baggies after a highly unfortunate spell.
